Annual Egg Drop Competition
Belk Court of Hanes Mall, Saturday, February 21, 2009
to celebrate Engineers Week
Thanks for a SMASHING event!!
See you next year!
Join the fun and
learn a thing or two at the sixth annual Winston-Salem/Forsyth County
Egg Drop Competition! This competition is designed to promote
engineering and science in the K-12 community. It's also an
excellent opportunity to encourage ALL students to consider math,
science, and other technical disciplines as career options.
Participants are asked to protect an egg from a second story drop to
keep it from SMASHING when it hits the ground! Accuracy of the drop –
minimizing the weight of the protective device – and minimizing the
number of components in the protective device – are all factors in
determining who wins and who loses…which eggs smash and which eggs
don’t!
Participation is free, but
IMAGINATION is required!
This competition is open to ingenious minds of
K-12 students.
Compete as an
individual or compete as a team from your school.
Eggs provided on the day of the event.
Winners receive awards, certificates, t-shirts, and cash prizes. This
competition’s sure to be a SMASH!
